The Story behind See Kai Run:
In 2004, a Seattle mom was on a quest to find a shoe that was best in health and design for her son’s feet. She was looking for fun, sophisticated styles that also promoted healthy foot development; but she didn’t find any, so she created See Kai Run. Today, a dedicated team of footwear makers and designers carry on this mission. Our experience and footwear knowledge ensures that every style we produce is fun, fashionable and features the finest in materials and craftsmanship.
For my review, I chose a pair of crib shoes for my daughter and a pair of sneakers for my son.
I chose the Tovah crib shoes for my daughter in size 0-6 months. They retail for $40 on their website. (They no longer offer these particular shoes however, they have even cuter ones on their website now! Check out the Monroe. Adorable!!)
One of the things that I love about See Kai Run is how much thought is put into the production of each shoe.
See Kai Run Shoes are proportionally engineered for growing feet and are designed based on a child’s age and development stage. Our Smaller Crib shoes are built for the youngest among us and feature butter-soft leather and are lightweight and flexible so babies can flex toes and begin to develop foot strength. Outsoles consist of a soft suede sole with rubber pads. These shoes are built to be as close to a barefoot experience as possible in order to let the foot develop.
My daughter is still too little to really need to wear shoes, but they sure are cute!
I chose the “Big Kids” Jesse for my son in size 2.5y. They retail for $40 on their website. (They no longer offer these particular shoes)
He is super picky when it comes to shoes. He absolutely LOVES these shoes. He would wear them every day if they fit him. They are a little big so he mainly only wears them around the house. (UPDATE: My son wore the life out of these shoes. He almost cried when they no longer fit him.)
